We are a Family. We are a body and we work together.
We believe God is raising up Elders in The Church. We pray together and seek God’s wisdom and direction as a body. We have multiple men in the Church that we believe God is building up to lead God’s people at The Garden Church.
We currently have a Senior Pastor, and are seeking The Lord about faithful men in the Church who He is calling to serve the body in positions of oversight.
Our Pastor
Pastor Ian Brown dedicated his life to Jesus Christ in January 2009 while incarcerated in a County Jail outside Detroit, Michigan. Upon receiving a Bible, he immersed himself in reading it for 8-16 hours a day. During this time, Ian felt a calling from the Lord to leave behind his career, sell most of his possessions, and follow Jesus alongside his wife, Fan Brown.
Together, Pastor Ian and Fan made the bold decision to move to Northern Michigan to pursue their calling and attend Bible College.
Pastor Ian holds earned Bachelor's degrees in Pastoral Counseling and Theology as well as an honorary degree in Pastoral Theology. But he will tell you that a college degree doesn’t make a man a pastor, but rather the calling and touch of God on a man’s life.
Since 2013, Pastor Ian has served as a Senior Pastor, shepherding a struggling church to experiencing the presence of God, and establishing a new church in Quincy, Massachusetts. Currently, Pastor Ian Brown is collaborating with a dedicated team to establish churches in Hull and Mansfield, Massachusetts.
Married since 2008, Pastor Ian and his wife Fan have been blessed with four children. Despite his full-time secular job to support his family, Pastor Ian remains committed to his calling and the churches he has been called to.
